In addition to the SV-FIG challenges discussed and linked at Wed.Sep,20200930.html#4th.CoSy ,
Peter Forth
held the first 19 hour time zone spanning zoom ( which ended up going
more than 4 hours ) I've attended . The range of subjects , from
another APL in Forth to Made In Space3d printing of solar panel supports to Forth cores in FPGAs .
And SV-FIG will be holding another challenge , calculating 𝜋 , which I'm only interested in watching , Saturday , Oct 24 . I'm definitely interested in adding Big rationals to CoSy , but 𝜋 , I'll just be interested to see how people approach it . In CoSy , it's just

I have cloned a dedicated blog task to accumulate notable thoughts and comments . The text is uploaded at http://cosy.com/y20/blog.txt . It's rather raw , but if opened in CoSy all the links are active with cF9 . And they can be cut and pasted to a browser in any case . A common use of CoSy is
simply as an archive to note various links and comments I want to
remember . I had planned to format these items for this post , but
other priorities bumped that for the nonce .
This Saturday I plan work thru the various work and enhancements in my WorkLog . ( Here's the text )
Of particular interest is digging down to the specific word which labels CoSy
tasks so I can go immediately to the one I want whether accounts or
mailing lists . Previously the names were full path named like on the
DOS windows underlying the 4th. CoSy windows which MS would truncate . So I'd have to poke around at each one to see what it actually was .
I don't know when changing a single word so enhanced the usability of the system .
That shouldn't take too long . So I invite anybody who wants to work thru downloading , booting , or trying out CoSy to share their screen so we can address any hangups .

This reinforces my feeling that
the future is going to be back to individual websites and blogs where
ISPs are truly common carriers and issues of censorship will be more directly with governments .
A goal for CoSy is to offer personal webspaces interfaced by CoSy so one can have both personal computing and storage , and a public web & blog presence .
