As the saying among us realists goes , my check from Exxon hasn't arrived yet .
I've put about all I can into this battle for rationality . So I'm doing something I haven't done before .
I'm going the route of many newsletters & blogs , requesting donations for a specific purpose : attending the annual
in Boulder , the evening of Monday the 20th thru Wednesday the 22nd .
It's fairly convenient for me , but means a couple of nights lodging .
The Monday icebreaker I find worth getting to . In my notes from last year you'll see I happened to chat with John Holdren , Obama's science czar , while wearing a Heartland Inst FakeGate shirt .
Once you get past the apparatchik , many are interested mainly in the accuracy of their data .
One I find quite intelligent and informative is David Crisp
who runs the OCO-2 satellite CO2 measuring program and will be
reporting on the new OCO-3 space station mounted program. I'm
particularly interested in learning the details .
It's chatting with Ralph Keeling last year which led me to Hansen et al's 1981 paper which has been very influential in this nonscience . It's where the physics stopped .
I will post my notes from the conference . If you are interested
, include a note letting me know any particular author you would like me to be sure to talk to
, ,
If you are interested in some additional analytical work , let me know separately .
I have included a donation button below , and would greatly appreciate any amount . I think the presence their , and the feedback will be worth it .
