ALL  that is needed is  FULL DISCLOSURE  of who gives money to whom . I`m not in the market for any excuse by those who want to take MY money to fund my intellectual adversaries - which happens to include themselves . Nor do I accept their arguments for keeping me from spending MY money to promulgate my analyses and support those who understand them . Big Money is just the aggregated voice of the free market . The outstanding exeception is defense and other contractors who are recycling government payments . They , as Eisenhower stressed , need to be doubly scrutinized . But , the supression of democracy goes beyond the control of funding . The supression of Ross Perot`s views by the half dozen people of Federal Election Commission and the FCC , not even allowing him to use his funds in the manner he deemed efficient , distorted and cheapened the last American election of the 20th century .
