Thank you for explaining that .  As you know I am quite diligent in following court requests .

I am looking forward to finally being able to have at least a bit of a rational discussion of this , again I can think of no better word than debacle instigated by Mr Walker's aggressive irrationality which in previous times would have never arisen to anything more than an admonition to stay apart until Mr Walker vacates as per the eviction notice I was emailing him while he was raising this to the absurdity it has gotten to .

My many friends both locally and around the world are going to be astonished by yet another tale of present day life in these United States -- as the Readers Digest used to say  .

Mr. Armstrong,

Monday is a required court date. It is not a meeting. If you do not show up, the court will issue a warrant for your arrest.

Sincerely,

Beth Reed

As long as you fail to acknowledge Mr Walker's instigation of the entire matter , as further evidenced by his refusal to apologize to the elder guest he initially verbally assaulted , this will go before a jury of our fellow citizens .

Then you can explain why you are "carrying the water" for someone whose very first statement is a proved lie .

I will repeat that I , and other peers I know , consider this an extremely dangerous precedent to set for their fathers , their grandfathers or themselves .

Does this mean we don't need to meet Monday morning in Cripple Creek ?

Dear Mr. Armstrong,

I am in receipt of your recent reply regarding the proposed plea resolution. I understand your response to be a declination of the proposal.  If the additional terms you have suggested constitute a counter-offer, the People decline such counter-offer. Should you wish to accept the People’s original proposal, it will be available to you through Sunday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m. After that time, the offer of resolution will expire.

Sincerely,

Beth Reed

Lead Deputy District Attorney

Teller County

Where's Mr Walker's apology to Mr James ?

And surely , if I am to undergo a mental health screening Mr Walker , who I believe Mr James's testimony via email shows convincingly has mental problems ( and I believe any investigation of his record will reveal chronic problems ) should be required  to submit to also .

Dear Mr. Armstrong,

Pursuant to your earlier indication this morning that you would be interested in a plea resolution of this case, I propose the following:

1)      You would plead guilty Third Degree Assault-a class 1 misdemeanor charge

2)      You would serve a 3 year period of supervised probation

3)      Probation conditions would be to maintain no further violations of law, complete a 12 hour anger management course and undergo a mental health screening and follow all recommendations by the supervising probation officer. Further, if requested by the probation department, supervision would be maintained by the mental health unit at the Probation department in El Paso County

4)      Pay all costs and fees associated with probation supervision, unless directed otherwise by the Court

Please let me know as soon as you are able what you position is on this proposed resolution.

Sincerely,

Beth Reed

Lead Deputy District Attorney

Teller County
