Fox :Mission : To define create & control 3D distribution , participate fairly .|17:34| The synchronized light valve glasses are teknology which has been around Virtual Reality expos for some years . Synchronizing it with standard NTSC signals , and having the whole thing down to a couple of ASICs is consequential . A real problem with continued acceptance and use is , of course , the need to wear glasses , and not tilt your head too far from upright . Further , To me , and some others , flicker was perceptable with NTSC 60hz ( 30 frame % sec interlaced left and right images ) . It probably would be really irritating on PAL 50hz systems . As it is , watching the 3D does seem to require more active attention than normal . If the light valve tek in the glasses is fast enough , the flicker problem should be surmountable by doubling the shutter rate .
