They just cannot help themselves.
With nearly all of the
Biden agenda in Congress on life support, the political class is pushing one of their favorite
“compromises” -- they’re coming after the firearms of law-abiding citizens.
What they call “Red Flag Laws,” I call the destruction of the Second Amendment and Fifth
Amendment in one strike.
Not only do Red Flag Laws allow for guns to be taken from
law-abiding gun owners, but they do it without any due process taking place before firearms are seized after someone -- like a jilted ex-partner or
any other person who claims to know the “respondent” -- reports them to the court.
This is the opposite of due process!
Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA) just had her Red Flag
bill, Extreme Risk Protection Order Act of 2021(H.R. 2377) pass through the House Judiciary to the glee of the gun-grabbing Chairman Rep.
Jerry Nadler (D-NY).
You can bet House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) cannot wait to bring that
bill to the floor knowing when it passes, there are Republican turncoats in the Senate like Marco Rubio (R-FL) who will sell out to the gun
control lobby at the drop of a hat.
You see, Rubio’s confiscation bill
(S.292) with a similar title could easily pass the Senate and land on President Biden’s desk.
I wish I had better news, but H.R. 2377 is moving NOW through the U.S. House and your immediate action is needed.

With all the embarrassments of the Biden Administration and failure to get anything of substance signed
by the president, you can bet they will twist as many arms as needed to pass a gun confiscation law.
What makes H.R. 2377 so dangerous is it’s positioned as a “compromise” between left and right, which is always the excuse that
leads to some of the worst infringements we ever see on our rights.
Even worse, the Senate
version sponsored by Marco Rubio will compel your state to pass a Constitution-shredding Red Flag Law through your state legislature in
exchange for federal cash, which sounds a lot like bribery to me.
They’re
not hiding their disdain for the rights of law-abiding gun owners, so you and I must tell them exactly what we think of H.R. 2377 before it reaches
the House floor.

With Democrats controlling the House, the Senate, and the White House, and multiple Republican
turncoats with a history of caving on this issue, H.R. 2377 is a significant threat to your gun rights.
Rubio’s version has bipartisan support, including Senators Rick Scott (R-FL), Angus King (I-ME), and Jack Reed (D-RI).
Another Republican turncoat, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who indicated his support for Red
Flag Laws in 2019, is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. That means this bill could sail right through to the Senate floor, to the delight of
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
I fear that once McBath’s version
passes, Rubio’s won’t be far behind, and the two will combine for the worst possible version to be sent right to the desk of Joe
Biden.
That’s why I’m asking you to please take action right away to
help us avoid getting steamrolled by H.R. 2377.

When enacted, Red Flag Laws have proven to be a complete failure, or worse, but that won’t stop the statists from pushing this agenda as far as
they can.
Under so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders, gun owners could be
stripped of their Second Amendment rights through secret court proceedings where only your accuser is present!
If a judge is convinced that you’re a “significant danger” to someone, including yourself, your Second Amendment
freedoms could effectively be revoked. And you don’t even get to defend yourself!
You won’t be warned ahead of time -- and could very well mistake these law enforcement officers, like the SWAT Team, for common
thugs who are coming for your life.
In states with these “Red Flag” laws on the
books, reports of shootouts between law enforcement and gun owners are becoming commonplace when they could be easily avoided if we’d just
follow our Constitution’s Fifth Amendment right to due process.
Bob, I am
confident these laws will be abused to the fullest extent, as soon as they gain a foothold at the state level and in our justice system.
In fact, this comes on the heels of parents who go to school board meetings to voice their displeasure
with school boards being called “domestic terrorists” by the Department of Justice.
How long before Red Flag Laws would be used against parents at school board meetings, even when they’ve clearly done nothing
wrong?
That’s why I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action to stop the
momentum of this bipartisan betrayal of the Second Amendment before it gains any more traction.

We have held the statists at bay thus
far in 2021, but the next battle is always right around the corner and the Second Amendment must be protected with everything we’ve got.
