Dear American Energy Supporter,
This Thanksgiving many people are thankful that energy prices are falling
from the record highs of just four months ago. But not for long if the
Environmental Protection Agency has its way.
EPA wants to increase the price of gasoline, electricity, and anything that
uses oil, coal, or natural gas by regulating eighty-five percent of the energy
we use in America. You only have until Friday to let EPA know that you
think this plan should be stopped dead in its tracks—click
here to send your message.
How bad are EPA's proposed energy regulations?
This plan will cost America an estimated $7 trillion over the next twenty
years if it goes forward. The regulations will result in a $175 tax per year on
every dairy cow, or a $20 per head per year tax on every hog. This new
"cow tax" and "hog tax" sounds like a joke, but it's
not. That's because cows and hogs "emit" greenhouse gases.
EPA's proposed regulations will also impose new restrictions on over
1,000,000 buildings including 100,000 schools, 92,000 hospital and health care
facilities, and 37,000 churches, greatly hindering new development of these
vital facilities.
It does not matter that the world is in recession and that global
temperatures have not increased since at least 2000. President-elect Obama, who
supports these draconian regulations, said in a radio address last week that
"Delay is no longer an option." His advisers want to move
forward with EPA's proposal to regulate carbon dioxide no matter what the cost.
The bureaucrats in Washington have refused to extend Friday's
deadline. If you don't agree with this plan, please send them a message
today. Let your voice be heard by clicking here.
Happy Thanksgiving!
