“The survival of the United
States of America as we know it is at risk.” Al Gore
“Not only is it real,
it's here, and its effects are giving rise to a frighteningly new global
phenomenon: the man-made natural disaster.” Barack Obama
“The debate is over, and
the science is in.” Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
Dear Concerned Energy Supporter,
Heard any of these statements
before?
Assembled as one, the alarmists,
Hollywood celebrities and media elite would have Americans accept these
hollow assertions as inconvenient, yet undeniable truths – grossly
distorting the actual threats
posed by global warming.
And their proposed solutions
– such as implementing an energy tax, mandating the use of inefficient
energy sources, or rationing energy use – have the potential to bring
our already fragile economy to a standstill.
You and I know that all these
policies would do is grow the size of government, raise our taxes and
increase our energy bills. And as we have seen in Europe with
the Kyoto protocol, these policies would do little or nothing to help
the environment.
At the Institute for Energy Research, we
are working aggressively to debunk
the mainstream’s popular misconceptions about global warming and other
important energy issues with truth and hard facts.
They
say a picture is worth a thousand words.
And so I encourage you to watch this very short video to see for yourself
the picture that is being painted for Americans.
Through sound research and
analysis of government proposals, the Institute for Energy Research educates policymakers, the public
and the media about the economic and social costs associated with these
wrong-headed and dangerous policies. Our mission is to bring a rationale and objective voice to the debates on energy and the environment.
Join
our effort to counter the rising tide of energy misinformation and environmental
alarmism.
Help enable us to carry out our important mission with a contribution
to the Institute for Energy Research.
You can help ensure that that these costly and misguided energy policies
are replaced with those that foster prosperity and a higher standard
of living.
Sincerely,
Tom Pyle, President
PS: Your tax-deductible gift of $25, $50 or even $100 will help inject
truth and hard facts into the climate change debate. The alarmists are
well funded and working aggressively to advance their cause. I hope you’ll consider making
a contribution today.
