Subject: January 2004 Webstats for ny.lp.org Date: Tue, 3 Feb 2004 15:50:08 -0500 To: From: Bonnie Executive summary of web traffic for http://ny.lp.org/ for January, 2004 (analysed Feb 3, 2004) ------------------------------------------------------ Pageviews Actual pageviews by real people stayed constant (within 0.1%) from December 2003 to January 2004--about 10,600 for the month. Referrals Once again, Google was the top referrer to our website, followed by Yahoo. Referrals from the National LP website were up= significantly from December--a change from 166 to 345. Bob Armstrong's= "Cosy.com" beat out AOL as a source of referrers for the first time. Bob's= site had been just below the top five since August--when I first= started running this web traffic analysis of ny.lp.org. 130 unique IP= addresses were referred to our site from cosy.com for this time period, for= a total of 206 pageviews from his site (excluding search engines).= With a median of about 2 pages per unique IP, that should roughly= correspond to about one hundred unique people, some of whom returned later= in the month with another IP address. Deeper analysis is possible, but= not a priority unless Bob is interested in looking into the data= himself. Trends for January The condolences page put up for Ron Crickenberger garnered the= most visits on our site other than our top page. His page was not linked-to from our front page--the only publicity for that page was via email, and it got an approximate 700 hits (excluding= search engine spiders, if any). Libertarian sites are also starting to link to it. http://ny.lp.org/cgi-bin/condolences.cgi?Ron Another new 'hot spot' on our website is the Brooklyn Stadium= page. The page was created via a tip and lots of information from Gary= Popkin (culled from the lpny_discuss list). It needs to be= updated with the latest news, and we have a e-mailing to 116 LP= inquiries/members in Brooklyn planned, to highlight the issue and attract= subscribers to the lpny_kings mailing list--Gary Popkin will be a moderator.= (Sorry: that plan got pre-empted by the State Chairs= Conference--hopefully the email will 'drop' later tonight, after I get the page updated.) http://ny.lp.org/NYC/brooklyn-stadium Searches Top Searches for January (multiple related keywords are= combined) 354=09=092nd Amendment 288=09=09Libertarian 163=09=09New York (State) 131=09=09Guns for Tots 116=09=09Smoking 111=09=09Brooklyn Stadium 102=09=09Marijuana Compared with December 2003... 393=09=092nd Amendment 214=09=09Libertarian 183=09=09Smoking 175=09=09Guns for Tots 130=09=09Marijuana 128=09=09New York (State) 101=09=09GFT-related: toy guns -----------------------------------------------------------------= ------------ For more detail, please see: http://ny.lp.org/online/stats/ Mailing list stats: http://ny.lp.org/online/stats/mailing-lists Submitted by: Bonnie Scott LPNY Web Editor/Webmaster http://ny.lp.org/ Graphics person needed!
