By CHRISENA COLEMAN and DAVE GOLDINER DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS Geraldo Perez (l.) and Jose Veras find themselves charged by= police for playing dominoes in a Bronx park. For decades, Jose Veras and Geraldo Perez have spent long hours= playing dominoes with friends in Joyce Kilmer Park, near Yankee= Stadium. The South Bronx old-timers never thought there could be anything= wrong with slapping down the domino pieces on a card table or= jotting down long lists of scores. "We come out here to have fun and not to do anything wrong," said= Perez, 61. "Playing dominoes helps to keep our minds going." But the NYPD apparently believes the over-the-hill gang is a= criminal crew. Cops raided the game last week and cited Veras, Perez and two= other pals for disorderly conduct and illegal gambling - even= though the men vehemently insist they never bet. "I'm sad," added Veras, 73. "I never got a ticket and I played in= the park all the time." "They should have better things to do, like get the people= selling drugs," Perez added. The Dominoes Four say the trouble started when a couple of= undercover cops sidled up to the table Oct. 19 and started= watching the action. No one thought anything of it until a female cop asked if they= would take a $10 bet on the game, they said. "We said, 'We don't bet, we just play,'" Perez said yesterday. But cops wrote up summonses anyway, they said. Yesterday, NYPD Detective Robert Price confirmed a summons had= been issued, adding only that the matter "will be settled in= court." The guys are vowing to turn up en masse to support their buddies= when they appear in court Dec. 1. "It's just not right," said Anthony Quintero, 82. "The city= shouldn't give good people tickets for having fun."
