Great idea. :-) See http://ny.lp.org/.regular-events At the end, there's an "annual events" section. The Mermaid Parade has just been added to it. > Failing T shirts for lack of time , perhaps arm bands - just= strips cut > from the same cloth - anything that can make even 5 of us= appear as a > unit . I'm thinking: Green pants, white t-shirts, and some green ankle ruffs I'm= making out of nylon netting! (To look like fins.) If you want to go a= bit further: a dark-colored military-style hat and combat boots,= natch. :-) The pants could be anything from kelly green numbers purchased in= the East Village to army fatigues to light-weight green cotton= pants --Jim says it could be hot. Water-balloon grenades are definite! The Jeep can be used to= carry "ammo" -- gallons of water to reload guns and grenades. (Save= your milk jugs this week.) Small plastic funnels should help, but I'll= report back on the results of field tests for that before= recommending them as standard issue. I have to dig up the blue "marker" I bought once for writing on cars--it'll make waves on the windows, and I fortuitously found some beach toys at bulk garbage night in Lk. Carmel last Sunday,= so those will be hung from the railing on the top of the car. :-) Bonnie
